Just an update of ---- Transit safety among college students<https://www.kth.se/abe/om-skolan/inst/som/avdelningar/urbana-studier/forskning/urban-community-sa/trygghet-i-kollektiv> --- a global study that compares results of crime and sexual harassment in 18 cities in 5 continents (London, Paris, Milan, Tokyo, Stockholm, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Mexico city, Sao Paulo, Rio Claro, Bogota, Guangzhou, Lagos, Melbourne, Manilla, San Jose Huddinge and Thessaloniki).

We are happy to inform you that the study by the Australian team headed by Prof Carolyn Whitzman has recently published in this article:  https://theconversation.com/students-dont-feel-safe-on-public-transport-but-many-have-no-choice-but-to-use-it-112225 . Results are also now being summarised in the coming book “Transit Crime and Sexual Violence in Cities: International Evidence and Prevention” written by all researchers taking part of this project.  We are presenting findings in various conferences, among others, the Conference on Women’s Issues in Transportation in California, in September 2019 and American Society of Criminology, in San Francisco in November 2019.
